Sermons of a Canadian Churchman is the official sermons page of the Rev. Daniel F. Graves. Fr. Graves is a priest and writer in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto in the Anglican Church of Canada. He is currently the Incumbent of Trinity Anglican Church in Bradford, ON. This blog is dedicated to his sermons and homilies. Father Graves is the compiler of the book Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition (Toronto: Anglican Book Centre, 2010), and co-editor (with Scott Kindred-Barnes) of Richard Hooker: His Life, Work, and Legacy - Essays in Honour of W. David Neelands (Toronto: St. Osmund Press, 2013). He is the editor of the Journal of the Canadian Church Historical Society. He lectures widely on the recovery of the healing ministry in the Anglican Church. For many years he was the retail sales manager of the Anglican Book Centre in Toronto, and has served as a consultant to the religious book trade.
Father Graves' academic areas of interest include the study of the New Testament and Early Judaism, Church History (with a focus on 16th century and 19th century Anglicanism), and the work of Richard Hooker. His personal interests include genealogical research, cartooning, and playing the piano and guitar.
